Ustaad Bhagat Singh song launch: Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Aura of Ustaad’ track released
HYDERABAD: The celebration track Aura of Ustaad from the upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh was launched today at a major event attended by the film’s technical team. The team described the launch as a significant moment in honoring Power Star Pawan Kalyan.
For years, fans have sought to capture Pawan Kalyan’s distinctive style. The film’s team states that Aura of Ustaad expresses this quality through both lyrics and music. The hook line, “Nenu Meda Muttukunte, Toda Kottinatte” (If I touch my neck, it’s as impactful as striking my thigh), is recognized as a strong reflection of his screen presence.
Director Harish Shankar, recognized for his fan-focused narratives, discussed the inspiration behind the song. He noted that the title Aura of Ustaad reflects the spirit present at the event and explained that the central dialogue comes from a significant scene in the film.
“For over two decades, Pawan Kalyan garu has carried this unique mannerism. I felt it deserved to be expressed in words, that thought gave birth to this line. We used it as the hook and shaped it into a powerful song,” Harish Shankar stated.
To bring this concept to life, the team engaged Oscar-winning lyricist Chandrabose, who completed the song in eight hours. The director emphasized that the lyrics reflect a deep understanding of Pawan Kalyan, highlighting the line, “You are not a tender sprout born in soft soil, you are a stubborn plant that breaks through solid rock,” as his favorite.
Harish Shankar praised his collaborators, stating, “If Devi garu performed a musical coronation, Chandrabose garu performed a literary anointment.” He assured fans that the film meets their expectations and noted Pawan Kalyan’s commitment, including 18-hour workdays.
Music composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), who has worked with Pawan Kalyan for many years, shared an anecdote about the actor’s character. He said, “What I admire most about Pawan Kalyan garu is the way he respects and remembers people. If he likes someone once, he remembers them for life. When I was learning mandolin as a child, he noticed me, and he still remembers it. That speaks volumes about his greatness.”
DSP shared that Pawan Kalyan personally called to express his appreciation for the song. He stated, “Aura of Ustaad is truly the Aura of Pawan Kalyan. This song will remain timeless,” and credited Harish Shankar for the concept and Chandrabose for the lyrics.
Veteran lyricist Chandrabose, who has written for Pawan Kalyan since his debut, described the track as more than a song. He said, “I have been writing songs for Pawan Kalyan garu since his very first film. We’ve delivered many successful songs together. Once again, our collaboration has brought you this powerful track. This song reflects Pawan Kalyan garu’s true nature, personality, principles, and the path he has chosen in life. This is not just a song, this is Pawanism.”
The event concluded with the team expressing confidence in the film’s appeal. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is scheduled for worldwide release on March 26. The film features Pawan Kalyan, Sreeleela, and Raashii Khanna.
