Man urinates inside ATM after withdrawing cash in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a man urinated inside an ATM booth after withdrawing cash. The incident was reported in the Panjagutta police station limits.
According to reports, the incident took place on March 10, 2025, at an RBL Bank ATM located on Raj Bhavan Road. A man entered the kiosk to withdraw money, and after completing his transaction, he urinated inside the ATM area which is used to dispense cash and it caused damage to the machine’s sensor.
The incident came to light when RBL Bank Operations Manager Ravi Kumar visited the ATM in question for inspection. He discovered that the sensor of the cash dispenser was not working. Subsequently, the bank officials examined the CCTV footage and it was revealed that a customer had deliberately urinated inside the kiosk.
Based on a complaint from Ravi Kumar, the Panjagutta police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
Earlier this month, in the midnight heist, a gang of thieves stole Rs. 30 lakh cash from a public sector bank (PSB) ATM in Ravirala village of Maheshwaram.
CCTV footage shows four men who arrived in a car to loot the ATM, covering their faces, heads and hands to conceal their identities.
The thieves used a gas cutter to break the ATM and collected the cash from it and the entire burglary was completed in just four minutes.
In its complaint to the police, the bank manager said the heist occurred at 2.13 am on Sunday and she received an alert from the bank’s internal security system indicating an unauthorised dismantling of the ATM.
