Chief commissaire appointed for Asmita women’s road cycling league in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Cycling Federation of India (CFI), in association with Khelo India, has appointed M K Pasha as Chief Commissaire for the Asmita Women’s Cycling League, a national-level road cycling event.
The competition will be held in Hyderabad on April 4 and 5, 2026. It will feature cyclists from across the country in senior, junior and sub-junior girls’ categories.
Role includes overseeing race operations and ensuring fairness
As Chief Commissaire, Pasha will supervise race operations and ensure adherence to technical regulations. He will also monitor compliance with international cycling standards throughout the event.
Officials said the role is critical to maintaining fairness and consistency in competition. The Chief Commissaire acts as the highest technical authority during races.
National platform for women cyclists across age categories
The Asmita Women’s Cycling League is positioned as a key national platform to promote women’s participation in cycling. It brings together top talent from multiple age groups under a structured competitive framework.
The event is part of broader efforts under Khelo India to strengthen grassroots and elite-level sports development for women.
