Clash Between Two Groups Sparks Tension in Asifnagar
HYDERABAD: Tension gripped Asifnagar on Friday night after two groups with criminal backgrounds clashed at Muradnagar, using sticks and stones in a fight that left several vehicles damaged.
Police said the confrontation broke out following a dispute between two individuals, leading to groups gathering on the street and attacking one another. Residents locked their homes and stayed indoors as the fight escalated across the residential lanes.
Officers reached the locality after receiving information and began an investigation into the incident. Police are yet to disclose whether any arrests have been made.
Several residents criticised the local police station for failing to notice people moving around in groups with sticks. They alleged that timely patrolling could have prevented the violence.
