ASCI convocation sees 128 students graduate; 100% placements recorded

HYDERABAD: The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) on January 17, 2026, held its convocation ceremony, marking the graduation of 128 students from its flagship management programmes and recognising academic excellence across disciplines.
Welcoming the gathering, Nirmalya Bagchi, Dean, ASCI School of Management, Director, Centre for Management Studies, and Director, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Programme, described ASCI as a “home beyond classrooms”. He said the bonds formed at the institution would endure beyond campus life and urged graduates to uphold ASCI’s reputation. Referring to the 18th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management (PGDHM) and the fifth batch of PGDM students, he said all graduates were well placed, with several already progressing in their careers, and thanked parents for reposing trust in the institution.
Director General of ASCI, N. Ramesh Kumar, IAS (Retd), congratulated the students on completing their programmes with 100% placements. He said professional success depended not only on degrees but also on performance, knowledge, excellence and character. Stressing integrity and trust as non-negotiable values, he called upon graduates to seize opportunities in India’s expanding global economy. Outlining ASCI’s roadmap, he spoke of plans for a new state-of-the-art campus, expansion of academic programmes and greater student participation in consultancy projects, while reaffirming the institution’s commitment to affordable, high-quality education.
The chief guest, Radha Chauhan, IAS (Retd), Chairperson, Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, said education was the foundation for leadership, responsibility and service to the nation. Highlighting ASCI’s contribution to nation-building by training administrators, managers and policymakers, she urged graduates to align their careers with the vision of Viksit Bharat. She also spoke on the transformative potential of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence, and underlined the need for ethical and inclusive adoption. Chauhan conferred convocation certificates, medals and awards on graduating students.
In the PGDM programme, Donnapati Swetha secured the first rank and received the gold medal and certificate, followed by Sumedh Prashant Panse with the silver medal, and Paritala Taatvik Raja Sai in third place. In the PGDM (Hospital Management) programme, Neelima Chowdary Pulivarthi topped the batch and received the Dr Kakarla Subbarao Gold Medal, certificate and gold coin, along with the Saroj Jalan Gold Medal and gold coin as woman topper. Ramapanthula Sri Naga Sai Pravallika secured second place with the Dr C. P. Karpagam Gold Medal, certificate and gold coin, while Badugu Pratyusha stood third.
Graduates took the convocation oath, administered by Subodh Kandamuthan, Director, Dr Kakarla Subbarao Centre for Healthcare Management, pledging to uphold integrity, professionalism and service to society. Kandamuthan later proposed a vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem and a group photograph.
