Hyderabad cops arrest 2 for circulating morphed pics of Telangana CM Revanth

Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad City, on October 5, 2024, arrested two individuals for distributing abusive morphed photographs of A. Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, via WhatsApp.
The accused have been identified as Gadam Anil Kumar (27), son of Gadam Narsaiah, a private employee residing in Peruka Palli, Dharmaram, Pedapally district, and Kashamoni Ramesh (48), son of Kashamoni Sayyanna, a centering worker from Kondurg, Mahaboobnagar district.
They were reportedly apprehended on October 5, 2024, under Cr. No. 2375/2024, charged with violations of Section 67 of the IT Act and Sections 336(4), 351(2), and 353(1) BNS.
According to police investigations, on October 4, 2024, the accused circulated abusive morphed images of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy within a WhatsApp group named “KTR Sena Ranga Reddy.” The posts had the potential to incite political tensions, promote public disharmony, and insult with derogatory comments, raising concerns about possible law and order issues.
The Cyber Crime Police worked diligently to track down the suspects and presented them before the Hon’ble Court in Nampally, Hyderabad, where they were remanded.
Inspector K. Madhulatha and her team at the Cyber Crime Police Station led the investigation, which was supervised by Assistant Commissioner of Police Chand Basha.
