Armed reserve constable shoots himself at Ranga Reddy

Hyderabad: An armed reserve constable shot himself at the Ranga Reddy District Collectorate in Adibatla on Saturday early morning, September 28, 2024.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Dusari Balakrishna, who was a resident of Manchala village and served as AR Constable 928596 under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. He had been working at the collectorate for some time.
According to reports, Balakrishna shot himself with his service weapon around 3:30 a.m. while on duty. Other constables heard the gunshot and rushed to the scene, only to find him lying in a pool of blood.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led Balakrishna to take this drastic step. Local police revealed that he had previously attempted to end his life and was facing personal issues that may have contributed to his depression.
The body of the armed reserve constable Dusari Balakrishna has been shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for further legal procedures.
Earlier, it was reported that a 28-year-old woman techie ended her life by jumping from her 9th-floor flat in a high-rise building in Miyapur on Friday. The deceased woman was identified as a resident of Kondapur.
The software employee stayed with her husband and in-laws in a multi-storied apartment in the Miyapur locality. She jumped off of her flat and, landed on a hard surface and immediately died due to severe injuries and multiple fractures.
In another incident, a female student of Gitam University was found dead in its Patancheru campus hostel on Friday. The deceased was a 19-year-old Varsha hailing from Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district.
Upon receiving a call, the local police rushed to the scene and questioned the staff and students to understand the circumstances leading to the student’s death. The Sangareddy police are investigating.
