ACB traps TGSPDCL officer for bribe in Saroornagar

LB Nagar: The sleuths of Anti corruption Bureau(ACB) trapped a Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) officer on Thursday. The tainted official allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 18,000 and was caught red handedly by the ACB.
Going further into details, on Thursday at around 2 pm, T.Ram Mohan, DE (Technical), Office of Superintendent Engineer (Operations), Saroornagar TGSPDCL was caught by ACB, Rangareddy Unit when he demanded and accepted a bribe amount Rs 18,000 from the complainant for showing official favour.
The accused officer allegedly demanded bribe to process and forward the complainant’s applications to his higher official (SE,Operations, Saroornagar) for the installation of 63 KV Transformer, Shifting of 33 KV lines and 11 KV lines from his venture to other places.

The Accused Officer thereby performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly. The bribe amount was recovered from the AO at his instance. Both hand fingers of AO yielded positive in a chemical test, said ACB in an official statement.
Subsequently, tainted official T.Ram Mohan,DE (Technical), office of the Superintendent Engineer (Operations), Saroornagar TGSPDCL was arrested and produced before the Ist Addl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Court at Nampally, Hyderabad. Further case is under investigation.
ACB requested the public to approach them if any government official demands a bribe through their toll free number of ACB, i.e. 1064. Further assured to take stringent action as per the law of land.
