Andhra woman consumes poison ordered online, dies in Miyapur

Hyderabad: A 29-year-old software engineer tragically passed away on Thursday, December 12, after consuming poison. The incident occurred at her rented residence in Gokul Plots, Miyapur.

The deceased has been identified as M. Venkata Naga Laxmi, who was from Chatrai Village in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh. She had been married to Manoj Manikanta, a construction contractor from the same village, for approximately five months.

According to the reports, the couple had been experiencing marital discord, with frequent arguments over minor issues.

On Wednesday, following another heated argument with her husband, she consumed poison she had ordered from an e-commerce app on November 26. Her landlord discovered her condition and alerted her family. She was rushed to a private hospital in KPHB but died from poisoning the following day.

Her family has alleged that her husband’s harassment may have contributed to the incident. Based on the complaint, the Miyapur police have initiated a case and are investigating the matter.

The body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
