Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju to stream on Netflix
HYDERABAD:Â Anaganaga Oka Raju, which released in theatres this Sankranti, is set for its OTT premiere. The film will begin streaming on Netflix from February 11.
Godavari-set comedy draws praise for performances
Set against a Godavari backdrop, the comedy entertainer struck a chord as a festive release. Naveen Polishetty once again impressed with his comic timing, while Meenakshi Chaudhary drew attention with her performance. The film also features ChamÂmak Chandra, Bulliraj of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam fame, and Rao Ramesh in key roles. The film is directed by Maari.
Producers hail box-office success
Released in theatres on January 14, the film reportedly grossed over ₹100 crore. Marking the milestone, producer Naveen Yerneni congratulated Polishetty and said he was keen on collaborating again.
Story in brief
Raju, played by Polishetty, is the grandson of a once-prominent zamindar from Gauravapuram. With the family wealth gone, he struggles financially while living in a world of daydreams. Hoping marriage into a wealthy family will stabilise his life, he sets his sights on Charulatha (Meenakshi Chaudhary). Believing she could change his fortunes, Raju sets out to win her heart. Whether he succeeds, how his challenges evolve after entering her life, and why he is drawn into politics form the rest of the story.
