Amrabad Tiger Reserve suspends safari services till September

HYDERABAD: Safari services at the Amrabad Tiger Reserve will remain suspended from July 1 to September 30, 2026, in line with the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) guidelines for the wildlife breeding season. The reserve plans to resume safari operations from October 1, 2026, subject to NTCA guidelines and prevailing weather conditions.

Move aims to minimise disturbance to wildlife

The temporary suspension has been announced to ensure that tigers and other wildlife can move freely in their natural habitat during the breeding season. The measure is also intended to facilitate safe breeding and the protection of young animals without human disturbance.

The Forest Department has appealed to nature enthusiasts, environmentalists, tourists and the public to cooperate with the temporary suspension, stating that public support is important for wildlife conservation efforts.
