HYDERABAD: A major fire broke out at a commercial complex in Hyderabad’s Ameerpet area on Thursday, triggering panic among local residents and commuters.

The fire erupted at KSR Complex near Maitrivanam on the main road close to Pillar No. 1043. Following information from locals, fire department personnel rushed to the spot and launched efforts to bring the blaze under control.

Firefighting Operations Underway

Two fire engines were deployed to douse the flames. Visuals from the area showed flames rising from the building as thick smoke spread across the surroundings.

The smoke and firefighting operations caused inconvenience to motorists travelling through the busy stretch.

Flames Spread to Nearby Mess

According to preliminary information, the fire also spread to a nearby mess located adjacent to the commercial complex.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. No information was available on casualties or injuries at the time of filing this report. Further details are awaited.
