Ameenpur woman ends her life over fear of ants

SANGAREDDY: A woman allegedly ended her life in Ameenpur, Sangareddy district, after leaving behind a note saying she could not live with her fear of ants.
Woman feared ants, left note
Police said the woman, identified as Manisha, lived with her husband Srikant and their daughter in Navya Colony. She had been undergoing treatment for myrmecophobia (fear of ants).
Husband found door locked on return
On November 4, Srikant went to work and returned to find the apartment locked from inside. With the help of neighbours, he broke open the door and found Manisha hanging from a saree in the room.
A handwritten note was found in a notebook nearby, stating she could no longer live due to her intense fear of ants.
Police register case
Based on a complaint from the family, Ameenpur police registered a case and launched an inquiry.
