Ameenpur residents urge relocation of proposed STP

HYDERABAD: Residents of Ameenpur are calling for the swift relocation of a proposed Sewage Treatment Plant(STP), voicing their concerns about its current placement. Rallying behind the cause, the Ameenpur People’s Association has formally submitted a memorandum to local MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy.

A group from the association met with the MLA to share their worries about how close the plant would be to where people live. They warned that putting the plant near homes could cause ongoing bad smells, pollution, and many health problems for the community.

The representatives appealed to the MLA to take an appropriate decision and shift the proposed plant to a more suitable alternative location away from populated areas. They emphasized that the current site posed an unacceptable risk to the living standards and overall health of Ameenpur’s residents.

Following the submission of the memorandum, the Ameenpur People’s Association affirmed that it would continue its struggle on the matter, vowing to remain vigilant and persistent in protecting the interests of the people of Ameenpur.Those who participated in the event included Association president Thirumala Reddy, Ramesh, Arun, Vishnu, Ravi, Jayaram, Venkata Reddy, and Vijay.
