Ameenpur Dump Yard Pollution

HYDERABAD: Ameenpur residents face both environmental pollution and infrastructural neglect, prompting local colonies to demand immediate action from authorities. Colony representatives recently protested at the local dump yard and met with a former civic chief to discuss future plans for the area.

Public representatives and colony welfare association members gathered at the Ameenpur dump yard to highlight the severe hardships faced by nearby communities. The site has become a persistent source of odor, pollution, and health concerns.

Colony leaders, including Tirumala Reddy, Ramesh from Modi Builders, Arun from Tailors Colony, Vishnu from Navya Lake View, and Sampath, led the delegation and expressed strong opposition to the continued use of the site as a dumping ground.

“The people living in the vicinity are suffocating due to the stench. Cases of respiratory issues and other ailments are on the rise because of the pollution,” stated a representative during the visit.

Residents urged authorities to treat the situation as a severe health and environmental crisis. “We urge the officials to intervene without further delay. This is an urgent matter; the dump yard must be cleared completely,” the group stated. They also called on the community to unite for a cleaner, healthier environment.

In a parallel effort to address the broader infrastructural needs of the area, the Ameenpur People’s Association held a meeting with former Municipal Chairman Panduranga Reddy Garu. The discussion focused on a comprehensive development plan for the locality.

The meeting addressed critical issues such as poor road conditions, inadequate drainage, the urgent need to conserve local lakes, and overall environmental development. Association members shared their vision and sought guidance on advancing these projects.

Responding to the delegation, Panduranga Reddy Garu assured them of his full support. “I stand with the people of Ameenpur and am committed to the development of this area,” he said. “I am ready to address the problems faced by the residents and will provide all necessary assistance to ensure the success of the area’s development programs.”

The Ameenpur People’s Association has called on all residents to collaborate with the former chairman and local authorities to achieve their shared vision for a developed and clean Ameenpur.
