Amberpet worker falls into Hussain Sagar, found dead in Musi
HYDERABAD: A daily-wage worker who slipped into a Hussain Sagar nala while watering roadside trees was later found dead in the Musi on Tuesday, Amberpet police said.
Co-workers leave after fall, family files complaint
Inspector Kiran Kumar said Saidulu, 50, of Ratna Nagar in the Kachiguda police station limits, lived with his wife Renuka and daughters Shirisha and Shivani. On September 22, he went to a sand-and-gravel yard opposite Ratna Nagar in search of work.
A water-tanker operator took Saidulu along with two other workers to water trees along the roadside. While watering saplings near the Fever Hospital nala, Saidulu slipped and fell into the Hussain Sagar drain. The co-workers left the spot without informing anyone, police said.
Body found near Golnaka New Bridge
Renuka waited for him through the night and lodged a missing-person complaint at the Kachiguda police station.
On Tuesday, a body was found floating in the Musi near Golnaka New Bridge. Amberpet police initially registered it as an unidentified body and shifted it for postmortem. During inquiry on Wednesday, the deceased was identified as Saidulu.
