Allu Arjun’s fan attempts self-immolation, actor’s first pic out

Hyderabad: As the National-award winning actor Allu Arjun was spending his night in Chanchalguda jail after a lower court sent him to a 14-day judicial custody, a hard core fan attempted to self immolate by dousing himself with a petrol in front of Chanchalguda jail in the wee hours of Saturday.
He was reportedly distressed over his matinee idol’s judicial remand and tried to take the extreme step demanding the actor’s immediate release. The policemen posted outside the prison intervened and stopped him from setting himself on fire. They later forcibly put him in the police vehicle and he was taken away to a police station.
The actor was released from jail after receiving an interim bail order granted by the Telangana High Court in connection with the death of a 39-year-old woman in a stampede during a premier show of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya theatre in the city. The court granted him interim bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. The actor was received by his father-in-law, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, at the jail gate and later they drove to the actor’s home in Jubilee Hills.
