Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun visited nine-year-old Sritej, who is undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, on Tuesday early morning, January 7, 2025. Sritej was injured in the stampede at Sandhya Theater during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4, 2024. The actor’s visit was accompanied by heavy police security.

Earlier, on Sunday, January 5, 2024, the Hyderabad police advised Allu Arjun to reconsider his visit. The police raised concerns that the actor’s presence might disrupt hospital operations and cause inconvenience to other patients due to heightened public interest. They instructed his team to coordinate with local authorities to ensure his visit was planned to minimize disruption.

Allu Arjun had previously avoided visiting Sritej, following advice from his legal team amid ongoing investigations into the stampede incident. The actor’s father, Allu Aravind, and other Tollywood personalities had visited the hospital earlier to meet Sritej. Aravind later stated that Allu Arjun intended to visit the hospital soon after the incident, but legal and hospital administration concerns led to the delay.

Following the stampede, Allu Arjun submitted sureties at the Metropolitan Criminal Court at Nampally. He was also seen at the Ramgopalpet police station on Sunday morning in accordance with a bail condition set by the Telangana High Court. The court granted him regular bail, observing that the case did not involve culpable homicide, not amounting to murder. However, the quash petition is still pending and will be heard on January 25, 2025.
