Director Maruthi on The Raja Saab success

Meanwhile, director Maruthi spoke about the success of The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas.

“Making a film like The Raja Saab is not easy. Showing a character entering a trance visually is extremely challenging. While I wrote Prati Roju Pandage in 40 days, I spent two months scripting the climax sequence of The Raja Saab,” Maruthi said.

He recalled discussing the climax with Prabhas, who jokingly asked whether he was writing it “with a pen or a gun”.

The film, which released on January 9, crossed ₹200 crore in collections within four days, even before the Sankranti festival season began, Maruthi said, adding that the response reflected audience acceptance.

The Raja Saab also stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar, with Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani in key roles. The film is produced by T G Vishwa Prasad and Kriti Prasad.
