HYDERABAD: Allu Arjun’s team has denied allegations made by brand strategist Kaveri Barua and said legal action is being initiated over what it called “baseless” remarks.

Barua, speaking in a recent podcast interview, alleged that she was given 42 instructions by the actor’s staff during an advertisement shoot. She said the rules included not shaking hands with the actor, maintaining distance and not using a mobile phone on the set when he was present.

Recalling the incident, she said, “When I was browsing my phone on the set as Allu Arjun was arriving for the ad shoot, one of his bodyguards came to me and said phones were not allowed and snatched my mobile.” She added that the bodyguard may have acted to ensure the actor’s privacy.

The remarks went viral on social media, prompting a response from the actor’s team.

In a note, the team said, “There is no truth in the comments being circulated about Allu Arjun. They are completely baseless. Allu Arjun always behaves with dignity and respect. We are taking these false allegations very seriously and have initiated legal action against those responsible. We request everyone not to spread unverified information.”

The note is understood to be in response to Barua’s comments.

Allu Arjun is currently working on a film directed by Atlee. Another project with director Lokesh Kanagaraj is scheduled to begin shooting later this year.
