Soil samples from Alipiri Padalamandapam sent to NIT Warangal for geotechnical study

TIRUPATI: Soil samples from the Padalamandapam at Alipiri have been sent to the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, for geotechnical analysis to help design a new foundation for the structure.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) recently completed the scientific removal of the Pādālamandapam at Alipiri after taking precautionary measures to protect the ancient structure.
Soil testing to determine foundation design
Officials said soil samples were collected jointly with experts from NIT Warangal to assess the soil properties at the site. The analysis will help engineers design a suitable foundation for reinstalling the structure.
The samples will undergo geotechnical testing at the institute. Based on the findings, the foundation design will be finalised in consultation with NIT Warangal.
Work monitored under CCTV surveillance
After finalising the foundation design, officials will begin the execution of foundation work and the resetting of the Padalamandapam according to the predetermined schedule.
TTD is supervising the entire process and monitoring the works through CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and safety.
