Akhil Akkineni, Tollywood actor & son of Nagarjuna, engaged to Zainab Ravdjee
Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Akhil Akkineni, the son of actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, officially announced his engagement to girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee on November 26, 2024.
The actor took to Instagram to share the happy news, posting a couple of pictures with Zainab and writing, “Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.”
Actor Nagarjuna, thrilled by the occasion, shared his blessings on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “We are thrilled to announce the engagement of our son, @AkhilAkkineni8, to our daughter-in-law-to-be Zainab Ravdjee! We couldn’t be happier to welcome Zainab into our family. Please join us in congratulating the young couple and wishing them a lifetime filled with love, joy, and countless blessings.”
The engagement announcement has been met with an outpouring of warm wishes and congratulations from fans and well-wishers.
This engagement comes just days before the much-anticipated wedding of Akhil’s older brother, Naga Chaitanya, to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, scheduled for December 4, 2024, at Annapurna Studios.
The wedding is expected to last over eight hours, with a series of traditional Telugu rituals. Sobhita Dhulipala, known for her respect for cultural traditions, is said to be keen on honoring all the beautiful details of a Telugu wedding.
Akhil Akkineni, born April 8, 1994, in San Jose, California, made his acting debut as a child artist in Sisindri (1994), for which he won a Filmfare Special Award. He later made his debut as a lead actor in Akhil (2015), which earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut award. Akhil went on to star in Hello (2017), Mr. Majnu (2019), and found commercial success with Most Eligible Bachelor (2021). Akhil is also the captain of the Telugu Warriors cricket team, which competes in the Celebrity Cricket League.
In 2017, Akhil was engaged to Shriya Bhupal, and the couple had planned a grand wedding in Italy with a star-studded guest list. However, the wedding was unexpectedly called off just months before the big day, surprising fans.
