Ajay Devgn to set up film city in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will set up a world-class film city in Hyderabad. Officials said the project will come up inside Bharat Future City.
The Telangana government will sign a memorandum of understanding with Devgn during the Telangana Rising Global Summit scheduled on February 8 and 9. Officials added that land has already been earmarked in the same location for actor Salman Khan.
Future City to host second film city
This will be the second film city planned in Bharat Future City. As part of the Telangana Rising vision, the government aims to build a US$3-trillion (₹) economy by 2047 and attract investments in entertainment and tourism.
Officials said the summit is drawing strong responses from companies in India and abroad. They confirmed that Devgn will formalise the film-city agreement during the event.
Reliance shows interest in wildlife, tourism projects
The government said the Reliance Group has also expressed interest in investing in Telangana. Its Vantara Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, Wildlife Conservatory and Night Safari proposals are under discussion. Officials said the project could reshape the state’s tourism sector.
Around 15,000 acres in Future City have been marked for forest development, opening the possibility of hosting Vantara inside the zone. If that is not feasible, officials said the project may be located in the undivided Mahbubnagar district. The Vantara sanctuary created earlier in Gujarat has gained global attention.
₹3,000-crore hospitality proposal
A luxury food-and-beverage firm, Foodlink F&B Holdings, is expected to sign a ₹3,000 crore agreement to build three-star hotels in Future City. All these agreements are scheduled to be signed during the global summit.
