Airbus ACH160 and H175 helicopters announced for Indian customer at Wings India 2026

HYDERABAD: Airbus Corporate Helicopters has signed an order for two ACH160 helicopters and one H175 from a private Indian customer. The company announced the deal during Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad on Saturday, January 31.

Airbus said the operator already flies the ACH160. With this order, the customer will also become India’s first civil operator of the H175 helicopter.

The deal introduces the super-medium, twin-engine H175 to India’s civil aviation market. Airbus will deliver the helicopter in a 16-seat configuration in 2026.

Airbus will deliver the two ACH160 helicopters in 2027. The company said it will configure both aircraft exclusively to meet the customer’s requirements.

Commenting on the order, Sunny Guglani, Head of Airbus Helicopters in India and South Asia, said the purchase reflected steady growth in the civil helicopter market.

“This repeat order for the two ACH160s and the first-ever H175 by an Indian customer reflects the maturity that the civil helicopter market is gaining in the country,” Guglani said. He added that both helicopters suit passenger transport and offer strong performance and comfort.
