HYDERABAD: Air India flight diverts to Hyderabad after engine issue

An Air India flight from Delhi to Vijayawada was diverted towards Hyderabad after the pilot detected a technical problem with the aircraft’s engine.

The flight was carrying 180 passengers, including Andhra Pradesh minister Kandula Durgesh, several MLAs and other prominent persons.

Engine problem resolved while aircraft was in flight

The pilot diverted the aircraft towards Hyderabad after detecting the engine problem. The issue was resolved while the aircraft was en route, following which the pilot turned the flight back towards Vijayawada.

The aircraft landed safely in Vijayawada, and all 180 passengers were safe.
