Congress leader Feroz Khan along with his party workers and supporters were leading a padayatra and meeting the local people in the Bank colony on Monday afternoon. Upon learning of the visit of Congress leaders in the area, the AIMIM’s Nampally MLA and former Hyderabad Mayor Majid Hussain and his supporters reached there and started questioning their visit.
The argument led to a confrontation between the leaders and supporters of both the political parties and the exchange of blows left several people injured.
Following the incident, the police team present there tried to restrain the leaders and dispersed the supporters. As the police officials were finding it tough to quell the unrest, more members were sent from a nearby police station to control the escalating situation.
