Allu Arjun, Atlee join forces for sci-fi film AA22 with Hollywood VFX
#AA22xA6 project: After Pushpa 2’s massive success at the box office, Icon Star Allu Arjun is planning a sci-fi action film. He’s teaming with ‘Jawan’ fame director Atlee for his upcoming project, which has been tentatively titled ‘AA22xA6’.
Sun Pictures, the production house behind the magnum opus film, made this announcement in a special reveal on Allu Arjun’s 43rd birthday on Tuesday.
The makers Sun Pictures dropped a video on their official X (formerly Twitter) indicating that the actor’s upcoming pan-India film will be a never-seen-before sci-fi actioner with Indian roots.
“Gear up for the Landmark Cinematic Event. #AA22xA6 – A Magnum Opus from Sun Pictures (sic),” Sun Pictures tweeted.
The video starts with both Allu Arjun and Atlee meeting Kalanithi Maran at his office in Chennai and officially confirming the project. The video is then cut to Los Angeles where the actor and director duo can be seen discussing the script with the Hollywood VFX experts. Jos Fernandez, CEO and Art Director of Ironhead Studio has worked on Spider-Man: Homecoming while James Madigan, VFX Supervisor worked on films like GI Joe: Retaliation and Iron Man 2.
During their interaction with the Hollywood technicians, Allu Arjun can be seen experimenting with various masks and playing station gears that simulate 3D characters.
Expressing his excitement on the upcoming project, Atlee said he always dreamt of making a film which is mass appeal at its core and magical in its storytelling, crafted to move and entertain audiences everywhere.
“It’s taken years of quiet work to shape the screenplay into something I truly believe in. To now bring it to life with the Icon Star Allu Arjun Sir, under the visionary leadership of Kalanithi Maran Sir at Sun Pictures, is nothing short of a dream come true,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Pushpa actor Allu Arjun celebrated his 43rd birthday with his wife Sneha Reddy and children Allu Ayaan and Allu Arha on Tuesday, April 8.
Sneha shared the photo from their intimate birthday bash on social media. The happy moment shows the actor cutting a chocolate cake while he’s surrounded by his family.
