Actor Pawan Kalyan’s vintage video brings back fond memories for fans
Hyderabad: A vintage reel of actor and power star Pawan Kalyan from the Vajrotsavam celebrations, which took place in 2007 to mark 75 years of Telugu cinema, has gone viral on Instagram, reigniting excitement among his fans. The event, which lasted for three days, was a celebration of the Telugu film industry, with several notable figures in attendance.
In the video, anchor Suma Kanakala approaches Pawan Kalyan, prompting an eruption of whistles, claps, and cheers from the audience. This reaction highlights the immense fan following Pawan Kalyan had even at that time. The video also shows actor Allu Arjun, known as Bunny, joining in the applause. Throughout the event, Kalyan is seen enjoying the show, laughing and smiling, rather than sitting in the front row like other celebrities.

During the interaction with Suma, Kalyan spoke on the event’s significance, saying, “The platform that has been given to us is a great opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us. Instead of sitting seriously, we will entertain them with laughter and light-heartedness, encouraging them with chants of victory. We will never forget their contributions. As Dasari Narayana Rao Sir once said, whether it’s the lessons of experience or moral values, they never fade. In the next 25 years, we will carry forward the legacy and continue to follow the path Dasari Narayana Rao has shown us. I promise that we will never forget it, Sir.”
His words were met with laughter and applause from his then-wife Renu Desai, who was seen enjoying the moment along with director Puri Jagannadh. Fans have praised Pawan Kalyan’s down-to-earth demeanor, noting that even though he was a major celebrity at the time, he chose to sit among the common crowd rather than in a VIP section.
