ACB officials trap community organiser in Kukatpally for accepting ₹18,000 bribe.

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on March 10, 2026, caught an outsourcing community organiser working in Moosapet Circle-53 of Kukatpally Zone while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹18,000.

The accused official, K. Murali, allegedly demanded the bribe from a complainant to process a ₹20 lakh loan sanctioned to a group of women belonging to a Mahila Podupu Sangam.

According to ACB officials, Murali demanded ₹1,000 per lakh of the sanctioned loan amount and accepted ₹18,000 to facilitate the official process. Investigators said the official performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.

Bribe linked to loan sanctioned to women’s group

The complainant approached the ACB after Murali allegedly sought the money to process the loan file. Acting on the complaint, the ACB’s Rangareddy Range unit laid a trap and caught the official while accepting the bribe amount.

Officials said the money was taken in return for an official favour linked to processing the loan granted to the women’s self-help group.

Accused to be produced before ACB court

Murali is being arrested and will be produced before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court at Nampally in Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.

The ACB urged the public to report any demand for bribes by public servants through its toll-free number 1064. Complaints can also be made through WhatsApp (9440446106) and the bureau’s official social media platforms. Officials said the identity of complainants will be kept confidential.
