ACB Telangana registers 15 cases in March 2025, seizes Rs. 3.2L in bribe money

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana, Hyderabad, registered 15 cases and enquiries during March 2025. Of these, 12 were trap cases, 2 involved criminal misconduct, and 1 was a surprise check.

A total of 15 public servants, including one outsourcing employee and one private individual, were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The ACB seized Rs. 3,28,500 in bribe money across various departments, including Revenue, Home, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), Energy, Education, Health, Transport, and Agriculture & Co-operation.

In the first quarter of 2025, from January to March, the Bureau registered 52 cases. This includes 37 trap cases, 4 cases of disproportionate assets, 4 criminal misconduct cases, 3 regular enquiries, 1 surprise check, and 3 discreet enquiries.

A total of 55 public servants, including six outsourcing employees and private individuals, were arrested. The ACB seized Rs. 12,33,500 in bribe money and uncovered assets worth Rs. 4.79 crore in disproportionate asset cases. In March 2025, the ACB concluded 32 cases.

The ACB has urged the public to report any demand for bribes by public servants.
