ACB arrests TGSPDCL Artisan in Mangalhat for accepting Rs. 20,000 bribe
Hyderabad: On April 8, 2025, at 12:45 p.m., the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Abdul Rahaman, an Artisan Grade-IV with the Telangana State Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL), Mangalhat Division, Hyderabad. Rahaman was caught by the ACB’s City Range Unit-2 after he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant.
The bribe was allegedly given in exchange for showing official favor by not reporting a damage to the complainant’s old meter (S.No. 10924763) and avoiding any penalty.
The ACB recovered the bribe amount from Rahaman at his instance. A chemical test confirmed the presence of bribe money on both of his hands.
Rahaman has been arrested and will be presented before the Hon’ble Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at the Nampally Court, Hyderabad. The investigation is ongoing.
