Abdullapurmet Police Arrest Three in Ganja Smuggling Case
HYDERABAD: Abdullapurmet police and the LB Nagar Special Operations Team (SOT) arrested three persons for allegedly transporting ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad and seized 51.800 kg of the contraband valued at ₹29.90 lakh.
According to police, the accused Kamulu Pangi, Babini Hantal and Krishna Hantal, all residents of Malkangiri district in Odisha came into contact with a Hyderabad-based man identified as Sagar, who allegedly agreed to purchase the ganja.

Acting on Sagar’s instructions, the trio reportedly transported the ganja from Odisha in a Bolero vehicle and reached the Abdullapurmet area. They were allegedly on their way to deliver the consignment in Ghatkesar when police intercepted the vehicle on the Outer Ring Road following credible information.
During the inspection, police found the ganja concealed beneath the rear seat of the vehicle and took the three accused into custody.
Police intensify search for Hyderabad-based buyer
Police seized 51.800 kg of ganja and arrested the three accused. Efforts are under way to trace Sagar, who is suspected to be the intended buyer of the contraband. Further investigation is in progress.
