Film actress Aamani joins BJP in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Film actress Aamani joined the BJP in the presence of Telangana State BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Saturday.
Rao stated that cine artists are joining the BJP, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance and a desire to serve the nation. He welcomed actress Aamani and makeup artist and Nandi Award winner Shobhalatha at a function at the state party office, where both were officially inducted in the presence of Union Minister G Kishan Reddy.
Rao said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, many states are advancing rapidly. He emphasized that a double-engine government is essential for Telangana’s development, ensuring the transparent delivery of government schemes and preventing misuse of power.
He further added that the BJP achieved significant success in the local body elections, winning around 1,000 Sarpanches, over 1,200 Upa-Sarpanches, and more than 10,000 Ward Members with public support. He alleged that, despite the ruling Congress party’s efforts to intimidate some representatives, the Sarpanches reaffirmed their commitment to the BJP, reflecting the public’s trust in the party.
Meanwhile, Rao added that the results demonstrate the BJP’s growing strength in rural areas, countering claims that the party is limited to cities. He added that hundreds of BJP Sarpanches were elected in constituencies near Hyderabad, including Maheshwaram, Chevella, and Ibrahimpatnam.
He further thanked the people of Telangana for supporting the BJP in rural areas and electing numerous Sarpanches, Upa-Sarpanches, and Ward Members. He encouraged continued support for establishing a double-engine government in Telangana.
Aamani is a prominent Indian actress known for her contributions to the Telugu film industry. She debuted in 1992 with Jambalakidi Pamba, a blockbuster that established her as a household name. She has appeared in several successful films alongside leading actors in the Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada industries.
Meanwhile, Shobhalatha is a pioneer among female makeup artists in the film industry. She fought a legal battle to support women entering the profession, and her advocacy for women’s rights is commendable. The state party chief stated it is a matter of pride that such a courageous makeup artist and Nandi Award winner has joined the BJP.
