5 year old boy abducted from Sec’bad railway station reunited with family

Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy abducted from Secunderabad railway station on Friday was successfully traced and rescued by the police and reunited with his parents. The CCTV footage of the abductor with the boy went viral on social media.

SN Jaweed, DSP Secunderabad Railway Police, said the boy’s family had returned to Hyderabad in the wee hours of Friday. As the family did not want to go home at night, they decided to take a rest until dawn on platform number 1.

As the family went to sleep, an unidentified man approached them and kidnapped the boy. In the CCTV clip, the kidnapper can be seen walking out the railway station by holding the finger of a boy.

After waking up, the boy’s father, Anil Kumar, found his son missing. He approached the GRP Secunderabad with a complaint about a missing person. The Railway police registered a case and launched an investigation.

The police team found the missing boy at Bhoiguda. The police official stated that the kidnapper may have abandoned the child fearing arrest and escaped. Meanwhile, the police team has started a search operation to identify and apprehend the accused.
