Food Safety officials found significant issues at Hoy Punjab. They discovered that the restaurant didn’t have medical fitness certificates for its food handlers. Additionally, they were missing water analysis reports for the reverse osmosis (RO) water provided to customers. The officials also found that the restaurant’s vegetable biryani, which had been prepared the previous day, was stored improperly and had to be discarded. Overused oil with a greasy appearance was also discarded. The storeroom was noted to be narrow and lacking proper ventilation. In addition, the food safety officials seized 330 customised drinking water bottles supplied by Jalousie Industries due to their very low total dissolved solids (TDS) level of 39 ppm.

Dust bins were discovered open without lids, and food articles stored inside the refrigerator were neither covered nor labeled. Additionally, temperature records for the refrigerators were not found.

Some food articles stored in the refrigerator were not covered or labeled. Although pest control records and medical fitness certificates were available, five pieces of packaged chicken were found to be stored beyond their best-before dates and were discarded on the spot.
