Alair police seize 210 kg Nandini milk powder, probe alleged diversion
HYDERABAD: Police seized 210 kg of Nandini milk powder from a private transport office in Alair in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, suspecting that it was being diverted from a Karnataka government scheme for children.
The consignment was being transported from Karnataka to Alair and Jangaon via Hyderabad, police said. The milk powder was found at the transport office during the movement of the consignment.
Police detained the transport operator for questioning and began probing the alleged diversion and trade of the milk powder.
Investigators are also looking into the suspected involvement of a Hyderabad-based person identified as Daya in the alleged trade.
The investigation is underway.
