160 detonators found near Army camp in Bollaram
HYDERABAD: Around 160 electrical detonators were found in a plastic bucket near the Madras Regiment camp in Bollaram on Thursday.
The bucket was found near the wall behind the firing range in the Golf Enclave area. Police were alerted after the suspicious container was noticed near the camp.
Bollaram Police and the Malkajgiri Bomb Disposal team reached the spot and inspected the container. The bomb disposal team also deployed sniffer dog Rudra during the inspection.
The detonators were found packed in eight bundles, with 20 detonators in each bundle, according to police.
Police are probing how the detonators reached the area and who left them there. Investigators are also examining the circumstances surrounding their presence near the Army camp.
