11-year-old killed in Borabanda bus accident

Hyderabad: A student reportedly died after being run over by a bus within the Borabanda police station limits on September 23, 2024.

The deceased has been identified as Shiva Charan (11), a resident of Om Nagar, who is studying in Class 5 at St. Salomon’s School in the locality.

As per the police and local reports, Shiva Charan’s father has been identified as Chiranjeevi.

After school, Shiva Charan rode his bicycle from SPR Hills Mahatma Nagar onto the road. At the same time, another school bus traveled from SPR Hills to Labour Nagar. The school bus was traveling from SPRS to Labour Nagar when Shiva Charan was fatally struck by the bus near Brahma Shankar Nagar.

Upon learning about the incident, the police quickly arrived at the scene and moved the body. A case has been filed, and an investigation is ongoing.

It was earlier reported that a woman was killed after being struck and run over by a lorry while crossing the road in Medchal on Saturday morning, September 21, 2024. The tragic incident occurred as she attempted to cross towards the Outer Ring Road.

The victim, identified as 32-year-old Raga Jyothi, sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Medchal police quickly arrived at the accident scene and shifted the body to a nearby hospital.

In a separate incident just days earlier, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, a woman was tragically killed in a road accident while returning home after dropping her children off at school. The victim has been identified as Neeta, a resident of Nacharam.

The accident occurred when Neeta was leaving her daughter on a scooter near Johnson Grammar School. As she was making her way home, a lorry loaded with gas cylinders struck her after a school bus departed without stopping.

It was also reported that a 5-year-old girl lost her life after being run over by a school bus at Mallampet within the Dundigal Police Station limits in Medchal on September 13, 2024. The child, a first-grade student at a prominent local school, reportedly died on the spot.
